Order processing and delivery management are two crucial aspects of any business that deals with physical products. It can make or break your customer's experience and ultimately impact your bottom line. Processing an order involves receiving, validating, and fulfilling customer orders, while delivery management includes everything from packaging to shipment tracking. With the rise of e-commerce and online shopping, businesses must streamline their order processing and delivery management to meet customer expectations. In this blog, we will discuss a step-by-step guide on how to process an order and manage delivery on Minis. 

Step 1: Receive and Review the Order

Once you receive an order, you will be notified on the seller app and receive an email with the order details on your registered email ID. You should review the order carefully and then accept or reject it within 24 hours. It will be automatically canceled if you fail to accept the order within 24 hours.

Once an order is received you will be notified on the seller app, as well you will be receiving an email to your registered email ID with order details.

Step 2: Choose Delivery Mode

After accepting the order, it will move to the accepted stage. Once the order is ready, you will be able to see the 'Choose Delivery Mode' option. You can either manage delivery yourself or use an integrated partner service.

Manage Delivery Yourself

When it comes to managing deliveries, you have two options: One approach is to use a partner delivery service, while another option is to rely on your own delivery fleet or partner.

If you opt for the partner service, you will need to include the name of the delivery partner as well as a tracking link so that your customers can easily track their orders. On the other hand, if you have your own delivery fleet or partner, you can provide your customers with the delivery partner's name and contact number to facilitate order tracking.

Shippigo/Shiprocket (For PAN India deliveries)

1. Shippigo

If you select Shippigo, you need to follow these steps:

  1. Check your Shippigo wallet balance and add money if required.

  2. Add the total weight in kilograms (Kg).

  3. Based on the total weight, choose a delivery partner from the recommended list with the corresponding rates.

  4. After selecting a delivery partner, they will pick up the order from the pickup address.

2. Shiprocket

  1. To use Shiprocket, connect your account with Shiprocket. Learn more about it in detail here.

  2. Once connected, enter the shipment's dead weight, and you will be able to view the available logistics partners and their respective rates.

  3.  After selecting your preferred logistic partner, add money to your Shiprocket wallet if required and confirm to schedule the pickup.

Swiggy Genie/Flash by Shadowfax (For same-city deliveries)

1. Swiggy Genie

If you choose Swiggy Genie, select them when your order is ready to be dispatched. You will be able to see the estimate of delivery cost, check and click on confirm to proceed with finding a delivery partner. Once assigned, the partner will be at your doorstep to pick up the order and deliver it to the customer.

Flash by Shadowfax

  1. If you choose Flash by Shadowfax, connect your account with them and select them when your order is ready to be dispatched. Learn more about it in detail here.

  2. To get the shipping rates, click on View Rates. 

  3. Click on confirm to proceed with finding a delivery partner. 

  4. Once assigned, the partner will pick up the order from the pickup address and deliver it to the customer.

Note:

  1. In both cases, delivery cost shown will be deducted from the order payout. Make sure to add the desired delivery cost to customers by configuring delivery settings.
  2. For Flash by Shadowfax, If the delivery takes more than 30 minutes to assign a Delivery Executive, your assignment will be canceled automatically, and you will be free to choose another delivery partner to overcome further delays in order delivery.

Step 3: Order Delivery Status and Payouts

When you use integrated partners to fulfill your orders, the status of your order is automatically updated once it's been successfully delivered. Moreover, you can expect to receive your payout within 48 hours (on working days) without having to do anything else.

However, if you opt to fulfill the orders by yourself, you need to mark the orders as delivered manually. This step is important as it triggers the system to initiate the payout process, and you can receive your payout within 48 hours (on working days).

This gives you a clear picture of the payments you have received from customers and the processing charges deducted from each transaction.
